because the beach is more fun than school | Mobile AL family photographer

This was our family's first summer in 4 years that we haven't been limited by people having to go to class for their doctorate degree, so we decided to join some cousins at the beach for a few days! Yippee!!

The older cousins rode the waves on their tubes for hours, and C found a perfect small pond of ocean water to play in that was more his style. Kind of like a kiddie pool, but I guess a kiddie ocean? Anyway, he was happy!

Our first day had some pretty serious clouds and even some rain. But no thunder or storms, so we let the kiddos play in the rain. Memories, right?

It was a fun and relaxing few days, which can not be said for the days in the previous summers that were consumed by seminars, writing papers, and single parenting. I would remind myself in those days that we WERE going to get past that stage, and we did! So we went to the beach this year because we could! :)
